1969 verkauften sie mehr Schallplatten als die Beatles und die Rolling Stones. Ihr Album "Rumours" aus dem Jahr 1977 gehört zu den erfolgreichsten Alben der Musikgeschichte und verkaufte sich über 19 Millionen Mal - allein in den USA. Kein Wunder, dass sich eine solche Fanbase um die durch doch sehr häufige Wechsel in der Besetzung gezeichnete Band Fleetwood Mac scharte. Und das bis heute. Eine Hommage an diese einzigartige, multinationale Formation, die den Zeitgeist der 60er bis 90er Jahre prägte, bilden seit 1999 Rumours of Fleetwood Mac. Diese Band, bestehend aus sieben Musiker:innen, eine Tribute-Band zu nennen, wäre wohl fast zu kurz gegriffen.

Mittlerweile verzeichnen ihre Live-Videos auf YouTube über 100 Millionen Views, miterlebt haben die Shows inzwischen über 950.000 Fleetwood Mac Fans. Ihr schon vor einigen Jahren beschlossenes Tour-Motto lautet "It’s About Their Music". In diesem Sinne versuchen Rumours Of Fleetwood Mac die Musik des Originals so getreu wie möglich zu performen und vor allem den Spirit dieser weltweit gefeierten Band und der damaligen Zeit wieder aufleben zu lassen. Personally supported by Mick Fleetwood, the seven-piece formation revives the spirit of the original in its heyday and offers an incredibly accurate snapshot of the world's first supergroup.
